Chinese robotics firm Unitree unveiled its Superman prototype, which has surpassed human athletic achievements in dynamic tasks. Developed in just over three months, the humanoid robot can jump 2 meters from a standstill and reach a top speed of approximately 45.6 km/h. This means it outperformed both the human high jump record (1.8 m) and Usain Bolt’s peak running speed (12.42 m/s). Unitree describes Superman as an experimental platform focused on exploring high-speed and high-jump capabilities, with plans for further refinements in the coming months. The announcement coincided with Unitree’s impending stock market debut in Shanghai, drawing additional investor interest.
