British heavyweight Moses Itauma was unable to leave the ring under his own power following his fight against Filip Hrgovic; he was carried out on a stretcher.
Itauma lost to Hrgovic via a ninth-round technical knockout in the bout for the vacant IBF world heavyweight title after his trainer, Ben Davison, threw in the towel.
Hrgovic became the new IBF world heavyweight champion. This marked the first loss of Itauma’s professional career, bringing his record to 14-1.
