Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov won the second set of his US Open quarterfinal match against Belgian Alexander Blockx, 7–5.
The second set lasted 40 minutes. The 30-year-old Russian hit one ace, committed no double faults, and converted his only break point opportunity. His opponent recorded four aces and one double fault.
In the semifinals, the winner of this match will face the winner of the match between Alexander Zverev (Germany, No. 1) and Botic van de Zandschulp (Netherlands).
