Constant consumption of tea, coffee, and water in moderate amounts contributes to reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases and some forms of tumors. The most positive indicator of well-being was found in volunteers who followed a specific balance of beverages in their diet – “two servings of tea to three servings of coffee.” Researchers found that chlorogenic acid from coffee minimizes the threat of diabetes and nervous system problems, and also improves gut microflora. However, experts warn that excessive caffeine intake (more than three cups of coffee per day) can provoke sleep problems and an increased heart rate, so caution is necessary.
