Scientists in Australia have discovered a new species of bee with devil horns. Public News Service The insect was first found in 2019 during a study of a rare, endangered wild flower. The insect was given the scientific name Megachile (Hackeriapis) lucifer, which can be translated as “Megachile of Lucifer.” The strange appearance of the bees was discovered by Dr. Kit Prendergast from the Australian National University’s School of Molecular Sciences.
