Samsung is preparing to unveil a novel Brain Health capability, which should be able to detect early signs of dementia. According to rumors, the technology will be shown this January at the CES 2026 exhibition, where the firm intends to hold a dedicated presentation in its own display area.
This function will become a component of Samsung’s wellbeing prevention ecosystem, supplementing current features like blood pressure measurement, ECG, and alerts regarding heart rhythm disturbances. Brain Health will examine information gathered by the company’s smartphones and smartwatches to pinpoint alterations associated with the user’s cognitive status.
To assess risk, the system will factor in gait, vocal changes, sleep quality and pattern, along with other behavioral metrics. Based on this input, algorithms will be able to identify potential indicators of cognitive decline and initial dementia symptoms. If deviations are found, the user will receive suggestions for prevention and a bespoke “brain training” regimen aimed at preserving cognitive abilities.
It is reported that the development of Brain Health was conducted internally at Samsung, and currently, the technology is undergoing clinical validation alongside healthcare institutions. Precise timelines for the feature’s launch have not yet been disclosed, but its arrival could represent one of the company’s most significant advances in digital health.
