Italian biathlete Tommaso Giacomel required medical procedure after withdrawing from an Olympic event.

An electrophysiological examination uncovered an issue with his atrial conduction, necessitating a subsequent ablation.
“Tommaso is scheduled for discharge on Thursday morning and will undergo further routine check-ups in two weeks,” the statement indicated.
He will be permitted to resume normal training at a later date.
It is worth recalling that Giacomel abandoned the pursuit during the mass start competition at the Olympics. Footage captured the moment he gestured toward his chest for the coaches. Due to the pain, he was unable to complete the race.
