Ozzy Osbourne’s widow and daughter attended the Brit Awards in Manchester, accepting a posthumous honor for the musician’s contributions. Their presence stirred up criticism. Kelly reflects on past struggles related to her appearance and pressure from agencies.
Sharon and Kelly Osbourne recently participated in the Brit Awards ceremony, held at the Co-op Live Arena venue in Manchester. They were presented with a posthumous accolade in recognition of the artist’s significant impact on the music industry. Kelly presented an elegant appearance, opting for a black gown paired with a feathered jacket. Sharon favored a sleek, all-black three-piece suit. During the event, they emotionally paid tribute to the Black Sabbath co-founder. However, following the ceremony, Kelly was taken aback by the adverse commentary directed at their public appearance.
“There’s a unique cruelty in attacking someone who is clearly struggling. Kicking me when I’m down, questioning my pain, gossiping about my hardships, and turning away when I need compassion and support the most… that doesn’t show strength; it just highlights a complete lack of character. I am navigating the toughest chapter of my life right now. I shouldn’t have to defend myself. But I will not permit this kind of humiliation,” the late musician’s daughter stated indignantly.
For many years, the artist’s daughter has been subjected to online abuse. During her adolescence, while starring in the family’s reality show, “The Osbournes,” she contended with issues concerning her weight. She recounted:
“I was summoned to the head of the agency’s office, and he delivered a whole speech about how I was too heavy for television, that I needed to lose weight to look better. And he just concluded, ‘You aren’t a movie star, but you could be if you slimmed down,'” Kelly shared on The Osbournes podcast last year.
