Elon Musk announced that xAI aims to be training three distinct iterations of the Grok model concurrently by the end of this week. This signifies a shift towards parallel development, involving the simultaneous training of multiple artificial intelligence models.
Essentially, this translates to expediting every phase of development, from initial testing through to the deployment of enhancements. Having several variants under training at once allows for speedier identification of optimal pathways and the rapid implementation of modifications, without having to wait for one model’s development cycle to conclude.
This approach is expected to shorten the release timeline for more advanced Grok versions, thereby strengthening the company’s standing in the AI competition.
In doing so, xAI reveals that its supercomputing infrastructure is now substantial enough to handle three complete large-scale models in parallel.
Previously, Paul Cunningham, an entrepreneur and AI consultant, utilized Grok to finalize the composition of an mRNA vaccine intended to treat mast cell tumors in his dog, Rosie.
