This condition affects a substantial portion of the global adult population. Standard recommendations for these patients involve dietary modifications and body mass reduction. In practice, not everyone achieves these goals, and the incidence of diabetes continues to rise.
The new study demonstrated that approximately one-quarter of participants in lifestyle intervention programs saw their sugar levels return to normal without any accompanying weight loss. Furthermore, this method provided equivalent protection against developing diabetes as measures focused on body mass reduction.
