Thirteen ancient artifacts, illicitly transported out of the country, were returned to Egypt by the United States. The formal handover ceremony took place in New York, according to a report by Egypt Today.
These antiquities, originating from various periods of the ancient Egyptian civilization, were presented to delegates from the Consulate General of Egypt. Cairo expressed gratitude to their American counterparts for their professionalism, emphasizing that this incident underscores the significance of collaborative efforts against the illegal trade in cultural treasures.
