The contest took place in Denver, concluding with a 3-2 result in favor of “Inter Miami.” For the victors, Lionel Messi netted a brace (in the 18th and 79th minutes), scoring his initial goal from the penalty spot; the other goal came courtesy of Herman Berterame (45+5). For “Colorado,” Rafael Navarro (58) and Darren Yapi (62) found the back of the net. At the 87-minute mark, “Inter Miami” forward Yannick Bright was shown a straight red card.
Having accumulated 15 points, “Inter Miami” currently holds the second position in the Eastern Conference standings. “Colorado,” with 12 points to its name, is positioned sixth in the Western Conference.
