TASS, April 29. Al-Nassr secured a 2-0 victory over Al-Ahli in their home fixture for the 30th round of the Saudi Arabian football championship.
The goals were netted by Cristiano Ronaldo (in the 76th minute) and Kingsley Coman (in the 90th minute).
This marks Ronaldo’s 970th career goal. The Portuguese striker is officially recognized as the greatest goalscorer in football history.
Al-Nassr currently tops the Saudi Arabian league standings with 79 points. Al-Ahli is positioned in 3rd place, having accumulated 66 points. In the upcoming round, Al-Nassr will travel to face Al-Qadsiah on May 3rd, while Al-Ahli will host Al-Okhdood on the same date.
The teams are scheduled to play a total of 34 matches in the Saudi Arabian championship. Al-Nassr enjoys an 8-point lead over their nearest competitor, Al-Hilal, though Al-Hilal still has a match in hand. The top two clubs are set for a direct confrontation on May 12th, played at Al-Nassr’s home ground.
