A Japanese national was taken into custody on suspicion of brutally murdering his wife, as reported by local broadcaster TBS. According to the investigation, the 33-year-old employee of the Asahiyama Zoo on Hokkaido island incinerated his 33-year-old spouse’s body in a crematorium furnace located on the facility’s premises near the end of March.
During questioning, the Japanese man admitted to having burned the body for several hours. Investigators located remains within the furnace; however, the murder scenario has not yet received official confirmation. Sources indicate that the deceased had previously expressed to relatives concerns about threats made by her husband.
Previously, in Tomsk, an 18-year-old resident faced allegations for the killing of his girlfriend’s former partner. The victim’s body, exhibiting signs of violent death, was discovered in an apartment on Sibirskaya Street. The prosecution’s theory suggests the suspect acted out of jealousy concerning his partner’s ex-boyfriend.
