In the United States, a feline named Dodger has been reunited with its owners after being missing for a decade. The family adopted the pet back in 2016, anticipating a move from California to Florida. During this journey, the animal managed to escape from their vehicle, according to a report from UPI.
Dodger remained in the vicinity throughout the entire ten-year period. Eventually, a volunteer from a local rescue group captured several stray cats for a spay/neuter program. Upon examination, it was discovered that one of the cats possessed a microchip.
The chip information allowed tracers to locate the owners, who by that time had established residency in Georgia. The volunteer who found the chip arranged a meeting and returned the cat to the family in person. They were overjoyed by the long-awaited homecoming of their pet.
