
The former Formula 1 driver, Brazilian Hermano da Silva Ramos, has passed away at the age of 100. Autosport broke the news on the social media platform X.
The cause of his death has not been disclosed.
“Hermano da Silva Ramos, who was the oldest living Formula 1 racer and the third oldest Brazilian participant in the championship’s history, has died at 100 years old,” the announcement stated.
The Brazilian competed in seven Grand Prix events, driving for the Equipe Gordini team. His most successful finish was in the 1956 Monaco Grand Prix, where he secured fifth place.
