Nvidia has acquired Kumo AI, a startup developing predictive software based on artificial intelligence for the corporate sector, for over $400 million, The Information reported on Wednesday, citing a source familiar with the transaction.
The deal will enable Nvidia to expand its portfolio of AI models that can be optimized for the company’s hardware and offered to corporate clients for further customization.
The acquisition follows Nvidia’s presentation of a range of new AI software and hardware products at the Computex conference in Taiwan earlier this week. Leading among the new releases was a line of processors for personal computers.
