
SpaceX has officially revealed a new milestone: Starlink has surpassed 12 million active subscribers globally.
The service is now operational in over 160 countries, territories, and remote areas, bringing high-speed internet connectivity to individuals even in locations previously lacking any form of connection.
Growth is happening at an exceptional pace. From 10.3 million subscribers in March 2026, the company has been adding an average of 26,150 new customers each day. To put this in perspective, there were only 9 million users as of December 2025. This rate of expansion marks a record for Starlink.
Starlink is now providing high-speed internet access to over 12 million active customers across more than 160 countries, territories, and numerous other regions. We extend our gratitude to all our customers worldwide!
Starlink is a global satellite internet system developed by Elon Musk’s SpaceX. It offers high-speed broadband internet access in areas where traditional cable infrastructure cannot be deployed, or where cellular service is unavailable or unreliable.
In an official statement, the Starlink team announced that they are actively collaborating with law enforcement agencies and technology companies to identify and deactivate terminals engaged in illicit activities. Furthermore, Starlink will be permitted to participate in auctions for mobile satellite spectrum in Europe.
China has successfully launched the 11th group of “Qianfan” communications satellites into orbit, positioning it as a competitor to Starlink. The “Long March-6A” carrier rocket lifted off from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, and the mission has been declared a success.
