New details have emerged in the case of a Washington state teacher who sexually abused two of her foster sons and raped one of them, according to the New York Post.
Amber Swain, 35, from the town of Newport, was arrested on June 2. She worked at a school and served as the executive director of Spokane Angels, an organization that supports foster children. The investigation began in late May, after police received a tip about possible sexual abuse committed by Swain against her foster sons. During a conversation with officers, the 18-year-old victim stated that the woman had sex with him on numerous occasions.
As reported by the New York Post, Swain was turned in by her ex-husband. Specifically, he provided investigators with messages between the woman and one of her foster sons, in which the teen expressed a desire to “sleep in her bed one more time.” She refused.
Prosecutors allege that Swain first engaged in a sexual relationship with the young man in December 2025, when he was 17 years old. It was he who told investigators that the woman may have also had sex with his brother. According to the young man, he found Swain’s underwear in his brother’s room.
At first, the woman denied all accusations. However, after the messages were presented to her, she claimed that she had slept with the first teenager once in February, after he had turned 18.
Swain faces charges of two counts of incest and sexual misconduct with a minor. If convicted on all counts, she could face up to 20 years in prison.
