Microsoft is expected to announce job cuts shortly as part of its ongoing cost-reduction efforts, according to Business Insider, citing informed sources.

The scale of the reductions will be smaller than last year’s layoffs, amounting to less than 2.5% of the company’s total workforce of 220,000 employees.
The tech giant has been steadily trimming its staff over the past three years, aiming to cut costs and channel a significant portion of its spending into the development of artificial intelligence.
