Typhoon Dolphin struck Japan’s southern islands, particularly Okinawa and the Amami islands, causing widespread disruption. The storm left approximately 44,000 buildings without electricity, and more than 175,000 people were ordered to evacuate. Heavy rainfall, with up to 300 mm in some areas, exacerbated the situation. Five elderly people suffered non-life-threatening injuries, with three falling due to the wind. Flight cancellations were reported in Okinawa, as well as in China and Taiwan. The typhoon is now moving toward China’s eastern coast, where authorities have taken precautionary measures: ports, schools, and tourist sites have been shut down, and an orange alert level has been issued for coastal regions including Zhejiang and Shanghai
