American billionaire Elon Musk agreed with a forecast predicting that the United States would face serious problems by 2030 due to rising national debt.
He shared this view on the social media platform X.
Musk was responding to a chart showing that US national debt would exceed $50 trillion by 2030. The entrepreneur described the forecast as accurate.
The chart labels the period leading up to 2030 as “everything is fine,” while the phase following the $50 trillion mark is marked as the point when “everything goes to hell.”
“Accurate chart,” Musk wrote in response to the image.
On August 19, US national debt surpassed $40 trillion for the first time in history, according to a Treasury Department document.
