Police in Dortmund, Germany, have detained a teenager suspected of killing his father, who had previously fought in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Bild newspaper reported the incident.
According to the report, after moving to Dortmund, the 15-year-old son stabbed the soldier in the chest while he was lying on the sofa.
The teenager called emergency services himself and was arrested at the scene.
The newspaper states that the 49-year-old victim had previously taken part in combat operations in Ukraine on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Eyewitnesses reported frequent domestic disputes within the family, but the exact motive for the killing remains unclear.
