An early, unofficial version of NVIDIA’s DLSS 5 — a neural rendering technology designed to boost game performance and image quality — leaked into the hands of modders before its official release. Enthusiasts began integrating it into titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Control, and Red Dead Redemption 2. Initial tests showed promising results: characters appeared more realistic with enhanced facial details and clothing textures, while lighting became more natural. However, some users noted a performance penalty — frame rates dropped in certain configurations. NVIDIA plans to officially release DLSS 5 this autumn, and the final version may address some of the early implementation issues.
