A Boeing 767-300 cargo plane bearing an Amazon logo crashed near Miami International Airport on Sunday afternoon after overrunning the runway while landing.
The Federal Aviation Administration reported that the plane was en route from San Juan, Puerto Rico, when it overran the runway around 10:00 p.m.
Video from the scene showed smoke rising from the crash site, which appears to be on a road outside the airport, NBC News reported on Sunday.
The Federal Aviation Administration identified the aircraft as a 21 Air flight. According to its website, 21 Air lists Prime Air, an Amazon subsidiary, among its customers.
An airport spokesperson confirmed to NBC News that all Miami airport runways were closed following the incident.
