Gianni Infantino intends to run in the 2027 presidential elections of the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), according to journalist Rob Harris.
“The FIFA President announced in April that he would run for re-election in 2027. Of course, nothing has changed. Mr. Infantino will run for re-election,” Harris quoted a FIFA spokesperson as saying.
Infantino, 56, has held the post of FIFA President since 2016. He won the snap presidential election, and has since been re-elected twice more without competing.
The next FIFA presidential elections will be held in March 2027.
