
Scientists have developed an AI system called Digital Aging Twin that can estimate the biological age of individual organs — such as the brain, liver, lungs, blood vessels, muscles, and skin — separately. The model was trained on data from over 2,000 people and more than 240 physiological and molecular parameters. This approach allows for a more granular assessment of aging processes compared to overall body metrics, potentially helping clinicians identify which organs are aging faster and targeting interventions more precisely.
