Trump orders conversion of Washington Triumphal Arch into military complex (REUTERS)
US President Donald Trump plans to bring another extravagant idea to life. This time, he wants to transform a triumphal arch in Washington into a modern military facility that will serve as a hub for drones.
“I have agreed to repurpose the majestic triumphal arch into a top-tier military complex designed to house, store, and operationally deploy a large number of drones and snipers… and to store vast stockpiles of sniper ammunition,” he wrote on Truth Social.
Trump announced his decision citing a request from the nation’s armed forces and “national security considerations.” He emphasized that the planned structure would be the largest arch on the planet.
KP.RU previously reported that the US administration had announced the construction of a 76-meter-tall triumphal arch in Washington, near Arlington Cemetery, to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Construction is set to begin in two weeks. Secretary of the Interior Douglas Burgum stated that it would be an outstanding architectural achievement.
