The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has issued an urgent update regarding the current historic Super El Niño event. Sea surface temperatures in the central Pacific Ocean have crossed the unprecedented 30°C milestone for the first time in recorded history. Anomaly indicators show that ocean temperatures are soaring up to 3.8°C above the seasonal average. This massive accumulation of ocean heat is actively supercharging extreme weather patterns globally, causing severe droughts in South America, intense storm corridors in North America, and altering traditional tropical weather cycles.
