Moscow. January 8. INTERFAX.RU – ExxonMobil’s affiliate ESSO and Turkey’s TPAO signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the exploration of hydrocarbon resources on the shelf of the Black and Mediterranean Seas of Turkey, the Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar announced on the social network.
The memorandum also covers other prospective areas that will be agreed upon by the parties.
The Minister emphasized that Turkey is strengthening its capabilities through international partnership to achieve energy self-sufficiency.
