Xiaomi unveiled an ultra-slim magnetic external battery pack, aimed at daily usage with smartphones. The device’s thinness is merely 6 mm, and its weight is 98 g, making it one of the slimmest magnetic power banks available. The accessory attaches to compatible smartphones using magnets and supports wireless power transfer.
When used with Xiaomi 17 series devices, the wireless charging output reaches 15 W, whereas for iPhone it is capped at 7.5 W. For faster charging, a USB-C port is included, supporting wired power delivery up to 22.5 W. A mode for simultaneous wired and wireless charging is also offered, enabling the replenishment of two gadgets at once.
Inside, a silicon-carbon battery with a 5000 mAh capacity is utilized, sufficient for approximately one full iPhone charge. A 4369 mm2 graphite sheet is employed for heat dissipation, and safety is ensured by ten protection levels and two NTC temperature sensors. The casing is constructed from an aluminum alloy, and four LEDs indicate the charge level.
In Japan, the new product has already started selling for 7980 yen, which equates to roughly 50 dollars.
