
The attacking midfielder for Minnesota United and the Colombian national team, James Rodríguez, was hospitalized following a friendly fixture against the French squad, as announced by the Colombian Football Federation’s press service.
The encounter between the national teams of Colombia and France took place on March 29th in Landover, USA, concluding with a 3-1 victory for the French side. The 34-year-old Rodríguez started the match and was substituted in the 63rd minute.
The day subsequent to the game, Rodríguez was diagnosed with severe dehydration, necessitating a 72-hour stay in the hospital for precautionary monitoring. Following this period, the footballer’s condition started to see improvement.
Throughout the present MLS regular season, Rodríguez has featured in two matches for Minnesota but has yet to register any goal contributions or assists.
