
Kenyan runner Sebastian Savel has established a new world record in the marathon, becoming the first individual to break the two-hour barrier.
On April 26th, Savel Savel clinched victory at the London Marathon with a finishing time of 1 hour, 59 minutes, and 30 seconds. Notably, Ethiopia’s Yomif Kejelcha recorded a time of 1 hour, 59 minutes, and 41 seconds.
The former world record was held by Kenyan Kelvin Kiptum (2:00:35).
