SpaceX chief Elon Musk announced that the Starship production line is presently at full capacity, and the company anticipates assembling roughly ten additional Starship vehicles and approximately five Super Heavy boosters before the year concludes.
According to Musk, any mishaps during upcoming tests would not severely impede the program’s progress, “unless the launch mount itself is destroyed.”
SpaceX is currently immersed in preparations for the subsequent Starship test flight, which, following its latest postponement, is tentatively scheduled for May 22nd.
Presently, Starship stands as the largest and most potent rocket system ever devised. The complete stack reaches a height of approximately 124 meters, and Musk has indicated that the rocket might ultimately increase in size by an additional 15–20%.
This system is being engineered for full reusability and is intended for deploying Starlink satellites, supporting NASA missions to the Moon, and, in the long term, facilitating journeys to Mars.
