
Germany’s national team took first place on June 14th for the most goals scored throughout the entire history of the FIFA World Cup, surpassing Brazil’s team.
The German squad achieved this historic feat thanks to a victory over Curaçao’s team with a score of 7:1. Following this match, Germany’s tally reached 239 goals in World Cups.
Consequently, the Germans surpassed Brazil’s team, which has 238 scored goals. However, the Brazilian team still holds the record for the most championship titles, having won the global tournament five times.
Germany’s national team has participated in the final stage of the World Cups 21 times and has been the tournament’s winner four times. The Brazilians are the only team to have played in all 23 World Cup editions.
Earlier on this day, Germany’s national team thrashed Curaçao’s team 7:1 in a match held in Houston. Scoring for the victors were Felix Nmecha (6th minute), Nico Schlotterbeck (38th), Kai Havertz (45+5 from penalty and 88th), Jamal Musiala (47th), Nathaniel Brown (68th), and Deniz Undav (78th).
