Investigators in Poland have uncovered 32 human embryos buried on the property of a pathologist, Magdalena Kh*, located in the village of Lutorz, near Rzeszów. This discovery was reported on Saturday, June 13th, by the newspaper Wyborcza.
Authorities have officially confirmed the exhumation of 32 fetuses from the site, buried at varying depths. In addition to the remains, investigators also located medical supplies and remnants of destroyed documents on the same premises. The remains have been sent to the morgue for forensic examination, and the 57-year-old Magdalena has been taken into custody.
The prosecution intends to charge her with desecration of remains and improper disposal of medical materials.
According to unofficial sources, the doctor claims she was collecting deceased fetuses from hospitals for medical research purposes during the COVID-19 pandemic. The public prosecutor’s office has not ruled out the possibility that other individuals may be involved in this case.
