
Elon Musk previously stated that this will be one of the largest structures in the world, designed to handle up to a thousand Starship launches per year. The exact number of rockets assembled in 2025 remains unknown, but we do know that SpaceX has conducted five test launches of the Starship system (Super Heavy booster + Starship spacecraft).
The Gigabay appeared in the frame alongside the historic Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy Space Center, which is visible in the background.
The footage also reveals progress on the construction of the Starship launch tower at the LC-39A site, where an American flag has already been installed at the top of the structure. Meanwhile, work continues at the Roberts Road facilities, where manufacturing capacity and infrastructure are being expanded.
These images highlight SpaceX’s accelerated expansion in Florida and the development of new infrastructure.
Earlier, SpaceX released a video showing the Starship spacecraft (Ship 40) successfully completing a 60-second static fire test of its Raptor engines at the Starbase test stand.
