Timothy Bradley, a former two-weight world champion and member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame from the United States, has stated his belief that the undefeated former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, will no longer accept challenges from competitive opponents.
“To be honest, I think the fight with Rico Verhoeven was a wake-up call for him. Usyk struggled against him, but he still managed to get the win. Giving up his titles, in my view, is a clear signal. He’s done. Usyk has left boxing, even though he’ll still fight [again], but he’s walked away from the sport—now he’s simply in the boxing business,” Bradley’s comments were quoted by the Boxing News portal.
