In the U.S., three brothers killed a 14-year-old boy whose body was found on railroad tracks in 1999, People reports.
Justin Hokutt was discovered on the tracks near his home in Seligman on October 10, 1999—22 hours after he was last seen alive. According to witnesses, the boy had spent the night at a neighbor’s house but was woken up and told to leave in the morning. No evidence pointing to the perpetrators of his death was found at the time.
The case remained unsolved until May 2026, when police received several “credible leads” and re-examined evidence at a forensic laboratory. This led to the arrest of three Scott brothers: 46-year-old Mark Wesley, 49-year-old David Ray, and 48-year-old Bobby Ray. It is not yet known whether they knew the victim prior to the killing or what led them to commit the murder.
Justin’s aunt, Tammy Tolbert, told a local TV station that the family had waited 27 years for justice and urged other families with unsolved cases never to lose hope.
