TP-Link has unveiled its latest router, the TP-Link BE7200 Flystream Dual 10 Gigabit Router. This device leverages the Wi-Fi 7 standard and boasts two full 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports, alongside an SFP+ interface that facilitates connections with fiber optic modules. In China, the router carries a price tag of 999 yuan (roughly equivalent to $145).
The router is capable of handling two separate WAN connections concurrently. Furthermore, it is equipped with four 2.5G Ethernet ports and two standard Gigabit ports, enabling connectivity for a wide array of devices, ranging from personal home computers to gear used in small studios or offices.
This router incorporates cutting-edge technologies such as high-order QAM, Multi-Link Operation (MLO), MRU, and Preamble Puncture, all aimed at minimizing lag and enhancing connection reliability. Internally, it houses a quad-core Cortex-A73 processor clocked up to 1.8 GHz and is backed by 1 GB of DDR4 RAM.
The inclusion of nine external antennas, each paired with dedicated FEM modules, is reported to boost signal strength by approximately 20%, while the overall wireless network performance sees an 11% uplift compared to the previous generation. Network optimization features are also supported, including IPTV capabilities and a dedicated low-latency mode optimal for gaming. This unit can accommodate connections from up to 512 separate devices.
