The former two-division UFC champion, Conor McGregor, is planning his return to fighting this coming summer. An official announcement on behalf of the Irish fighter was disseminated by his legal counsel, Mark Lynam.
The notification regarding his comeback to the octagon arrived immediately following the conclusion of McGregor’s legal dispute with his former training partner, Artem Lobov.
“I am pleased that this matter has been resolved, and now I can shift my focus to training and the bout scheduled for this summer. I wish to extend my gratitude to Artem for his diligent efforts within my whiskey business,” relayed McGregor’s quoted statement via the Mirror publication.
McGregor has not competed in the octagon since July 2021, which was when he suffered a defeat against American Dustin Poirier due to a leg fracture sustained in the first round. In September 2024, the Irishman faced a suspension for failing to complete three required drug tests. His period of ineligibility concluded on March 20th.
