Nicole Kidman with purple hand marks at a fashion show in France alarmed bloggers.
World celebrities gathered in Biarritz, France, for the presentation of the debut 2026/27 cruise collection by Mathieu Blazy for Chanel. The designer chose this location for sentimental reasons—it’s where Coco Chanel once opened her very first boutique.
Nicole Kidman was among the first to appear on the red carpet. The Hollywood star, who has Australian roots, opted for a figure-hugging, ankle-length black dress featuring long sleeves and an open back accented with ribbons and a feather flower. The ensemble accentuated the actress’s slender figure; to wear it, she forewent a traditional bustier. Her look was completed with narrow-framed, retro-style sunglasses and matching high-heeled slingbacks.
For jewelry, Nicole wore only white gold earrings set with diamonds. She sported understated makeup highlighted by coral lipstick. Her hair was styled into a bun, incorporating bangs and some loose strands. The Oscar winner carried a pale blue Chanel handbag adorned with gold hardware.
When posing for the cameras, Kidman clasped her hands together in a gesture resembling prayer. Observers noticed dark purple-black smudges on her fingers that strongly resembled bruises. Many expressed concern regarding the actress’s well-being. However, upon closer inspection, it turned out these were ink stains left from when the former wife of singer Keith Urban had been signing autographs, according to the Daily Mail.
Tilda Swinton was also present at the show. The 65-year-old British actress wore a black and white outfit with an office-wear aesthetic. She paired a silk blouse with gold buttons with an elongated blazer, a pleated mini-skirt, and distinctive mules featuring a square toe.
Marion Cotillard brought to mind Coco’s rule: every woman must have a little black dress in her wardrobe. The actress wore a simple, fitted garment styled like lingerie. Among the attendees were Honor Swinton-Byrne, Charlotte Casiraghi, Sofia Coppola, A$AP Rocky, and other stars. Russian models also walked the runway—including Leonardo DiCaprio’s former partner Anna Selezneva, Oksana Bondarenko, and Natasha Poly.
