The unfortunate event took place on February 22, 2023: 24-year-old Dylan Lyons, who was a television journalist, sustained fatal injuries while covering a story about a homicide. According to media reports, the perpetrator returned to the scene and discharged his weapon once more.
Following his death, Kasey Lyons opted to pursue the chance of having their child together by undergoing posthumous sperm retrieval procedures. She shared that the couple had intentions of starting a family.
Several months later, the woman coordinated the in vitro fertilization process, involving a surrogate carrier. Following several attempts, pregnancy was successfully established in July 2025, culminating in the child’s eventual birth.
