A remarkable ecological structure, spanning over 45 square meters, has been erected in Turkey’s Adana province with the specific goal of safeguarding wild pollinator insect populations. This achievement has been officially recognized by the Guinness World Records committee.
The extensive structure, measuring 45.63 square meters, secured its place in the Guinness World Records due to its design, which features numerous cavities intended for wild bees to nest. Constructed entirely from natural materials, this initiative was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the Yeni Akit newspaper.
Sheyda Subaşi Gemici, a representative from Guinness World Records, verified the accomplishment.
“This record belongs to Turkey. The ‘Bee Hotel’ established here is officially acknowledged as the largest globally,” she stated.
Initiatives like this are crucial for preserving biodiversity and supporting species that play a vital role in agriculture and the overall ecological equilibrium. The record was officially logged following a meticulous evaluation of the structure against all stipulated requirements.
