According to the well-known Chinese insider Digital Chat Station, one Chinese smartphone manufacturer is currently developing a new model featuring a 14,000 mAh battery. The project has already reached the NPI (New Product Introduction) stage, indicating a transition toward preparing mass production. Based on hints from the source and discussions in the comments, the device in question may be a Honor model.
It is anticipated that, despite the massive battery, the device will weigh approximately 220 grams. This is comparable to the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra (214 grams), yet Samsung’s flagship is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery.
The insider also revealed that Huawei is working on its own model focused on maximum battery life. According to his information, the smartphone will feature an ultra-large capacity battery, satellite connectivity, and an extreme power-saving mode.
This information emerged just days after the launch of the Honor X80 Pro Max, which came with an 11,000 mAh battery and became one of the brand’s most enduring smartphones.
Previously, Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately disclose the specifications of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, as well as the fact that the Realme GT 7 Pro would sport a bright Samsung display and that the Dimensity 9400 SoC would launch before the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
