Later, the broadcast host acknowledged that the footage actually showed Chow Chow dogs.
A representative from Xinlu Zoo explained that the facility does not have a permit to keep giant pandas. According to him, this is why it was decided to offer an alternative format to attract visitors.
Staff clarified that special safe dyes were used for coloring, and they consulted a professional grooming salon.
