
On June 23, Spain recorded an all-time temperature high for that month since 1950, according to a statement from the State Meteorological Agency of the kingdom (Aemet) posted on its X social media account.
Meteorologists reported that the nation’s average temperature reached 28.17°C. This figure surpassed the previous record of 28.01°C, which was set on June 30, 2025.
Furthermore, thermometers in several parts of the country exceeded the 40-degree mark. Specifically, in northern Spain, within the province of Cantabria, an extreme temperature of 43.7°C was observed.
