The latest data from Venezuelan authorities show the death toll has risen to 920, with 3,360 injured. More than 4,000 people have lost their homes. Many residential buildings were destroyed, infrastructure and hospitals were damaged, and the country’s main airport was closed.
Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences over the tragic consequences of the devastating earthquake. Moscow stated its readiness to assist Caracas.
