
On a beach in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, a lightning strike resulted in one fatality and three injuries, according to the local sheriff’s office.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is responding to the lightning strike incident. At this time, it has been reported that four individuals were affected; at least three of them were transported to nearby hospitals. Tragically, one of the victims sustained critical injuries and passed away, Sheriff Carmine Marceno stated on social media platform X (formerly Twitter)*.
Emergency crews and detectives are currently at the scene, investigating the circumstances of the event. As reported by Fox News, citing fire rescue officials, by the time emergency responders arrived, one person was already unconscious and could not be revived.
Earlier, it was reported that two people died in a shooting at a shopping center in Michigan. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. local time. Three individuals were injured in the shooting. One victim died at the scene, while another could not be saved at the hospital.
The third injured person was taken to a hospital. According to local authorities, all victims were approximately 20 years old.
