At a Donald Trump rally in Georgia, one attendee began mimicking the U.S. president’s movements. The press reports on this, noting that the moment was caught in the broadcast and quickly spread across social media.
The incident occurred on July 22 during Trump’s speech at Wheeler High School in Marietta. A man standing behind the president synchronously copied his gestures, nodded his head, and imitated his characteristic facial expressions. The footage shows that at certain moments, he silently mouthed the phrases the head of state was uttering.
The speech lasted about 74 minutes. During this time, the rally participant, dressed in a suit with a red tie, continued his improvised parody. The audience’s reaction was mixed: some people smiled, while others paid little attention to what was happening. Trump himself, based on the recording, did not seem to notice the man’s actions behind him.
Later, this participant held up a sign advertising a program for children’s investment accounts called Trump Accounts. The video quickly spread on social media and made it into coverage by global media outlets. Users dubbed the unknown individual the “greatest impersonator,” noting that he managed to briefly divert the crowd’s attention away from the president.
